Embarking on a journey deeply rooted in family tradition and a lifelong passion for cattle ranching, Las Paloma’s Ranch embodies the spirit of innovation, commitment, and excellence. Our story begins with the vision of Pepe Medina, whose inspiration was sparked by his grandfather, Atenojenes Medina, a dedicated cattle rancher in Mexico. This legacy of nurturing and improving cattle herds set the foundation for what Las Palomas stands for today.
Pepe Medina, carrying the torch of his family’s heritage, ventured to the United States 40 years ago, establishing a name in the construction industry. Despite the geographical challenges, the dream of cattle ranching never waned. In 2008, a serendipitous discovery near Birmingham, AL, led to the birth of Clover Ranch, marking the beginning of our purebred Brangus operation. Embracing the unique Brangus genetics, a perfect blend of Angus resilience and Brahman adaptability, we initiated our journey with 60 head from esteemed breeders, Char-No and Salacoa Valley.
As the winds of change swept through Clover Ranch, Pepe and his wife Paloma embarked on a new chapter in 2020, laying the foundations of Las Paloma’s Ranch amidst the picturesque landscapes outside Newnan, GA. Today, our ranch is home to 200 registered Brangus cattle, a testament to our dedication to superior carcass traits and the development of bulls that cater to the diverse needs of the purebred and commercial markets alike.
Las Paloma’s Ranch extends its genetic legacy beyond borders, offering frozen embryos and semen to share our exceptional genetics with enthusiasts around the globe, particularly in Mexico. Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome guests to our production sales, a celebration of our commitment to excellence in genetics and EPDs. At the heart of our operation is a dedication to producing bulls that embody the ideal balance of phenotype, genetics, and temperament, ensuring they thrive in any herd.
